As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disputes, or suspicious activity through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and help manage visitor flow by providing directions, observing for prohibited items, and documenting security-related observations in required logs and reports.
  • Support clinical and facility teams during high-activity periods by assisting with de-escalation, maintaining post orders, and coordinating with local emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X‐Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
