As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist tenants, visitors, and staff with courteous service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and support a caring, people-first culture where Allied Universal is agile, reliable, innovative, and acts with integrity through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial property areas including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entrances and common areas, observe for unusual activity, and assist with access control processes such as checking identification, issuing visitor directions, and/or supporting contractor check-in as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating notifications, coordinating with property management, and/or contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in written and/or electronic reports and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
