Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hospital Admissions Desk in Woonsocket, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, supporting a positive visitor experience while assisting with security-related access control, badge and visitor management, and clear communication with staff and guests. You will monitor activity from the desk, respond to questions and concerns, and help document incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Control access at the main entry by greeting and directing patients, visitors, vendors, and staff, confirming authorization, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, phones, and radio traffic from the front desk, and report unusual activity and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting clinical staff, facility management, and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate status updates during shift changes to support consistent security-related coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
