As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Position Type: Part Time - Morning 

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all visitors, passengers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and security-related policies for a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, perimeter areas, and other assigned zones, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns through the established chain of command.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas, check identification and/or credentials as directed, and help to prevent unauthorized access by following post orders and applicable regulations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing direction to the public and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or public agency partners as needed.
• Complete required activity logs and incident reports, document observations accurately, and communicate key information to supervisors and/or incoming shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
