As a Security Officer - Logistics Gatehouse in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, and monitor assigned areas to support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide strong customer service and communication for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entrances and shipping and receiving areas by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor access, and directing drivers and visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; document access activity and report irregularities to site leadership per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with on-site response actions as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
