As a Security Officer - Armed Facility Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license, and a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points by verifying identification, controlling entry and exit, screening for prohibited items when assigned, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and local public agency partners as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs on patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and maintain assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with policy and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of experience as Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
