Job Description


As a Security Officer - Bank Perimeter Rounds in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier financial institution location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot patrols, support access control and visitor badging, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. Your visible presence and customer-first communication help to reduce incidents while supporting a professional workplace. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to financial services clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including public areas, office spaces, and the exterior perimeter, as permitted by location guidelines.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as directed, and supporting access control procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems and/or reports, and communicate observed issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written logs and/or electronic systems, and complete reports per Allied Universal and location requirements.
  • Provide directions and assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Coordinate with building management, client representatives, and emergency responders as needed to support incident response and business continuity.
  • Perform routine checks for unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, propped entrances, and suspicious activity, and report findings through the proper channels.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies, location rules, and applicable regulations while performing assigned duties in varying work environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
