As a Security Officer - Media Studio Patrol Driver in Great Falls, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist with access control, respond to alarms and/or calls for service, and deliver clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to de-escalate situations and notify appropriate contacts as required.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying visitor authorization, and directing guests according to site procedures.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other building systems as assigned, and report irregularities to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
- Complete detailed shift activity logs and incident reports, documenting observations, actions taken, and follow-up needs in a timely manner.
- Communicate clearly with site personnel, contractors, and/or first responders, providing accurate information and supporting coordinated response efforts when needed.
- Assist with key control, badge management, and/or package screening processes as directed by site policy.
- Conduct security-related checks of doors, gates, and critical areas, reporting maintenance issues, propped doors, and/or access control concerns.
- Support a professional workplace environment by enforcing site rules in a courteous manner and providing directions and general assistance to occupants and visitors.
- Operate in varying indoor and outdoor environments and changing conditions, standing and/or walking for extended periods as required by the post assignment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor and/or manager experience or 3+ years' security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
