As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control as needed. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will deliver customer-focused assistance, communicate clearly with teams and guests, and bring Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a retail mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior walkways, loading areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help manage access, observe for unusual behavior, and support an orderly customer and tenant experience.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire and alarm activations, and request assistance from emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete routine checks of doors, gates, lighting, and tenant corridor areas and report maintenance concerns that may impact site operations.
• Interact with customers, retailers, and property staff using clear communication, providing directions and general assistance while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs per Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Assist with crowd management during peak shopping hours and special events as directed by site leadership and property management.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing for suspicious behavior and promptly reporting concerns to site contacts and/or law enforcement when directed.
• Follow post orders and radio communication protocols, coordinating with other site personnel to support consistent coverage across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• - A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• - Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• - Customer service experience is preferred.
• - Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• - Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
