As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to issues with calm, clear communication. This post requires an armed guard card/license. Armed guard card holders are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and requesting medical assistance and/or law enforcement support when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access by screening visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary access as directed, and directing the public to appropriate service areas.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and other electronic systems when assigned, and communicate observed concerns to site contacts and/or dispatch.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation using required report writing systems.
- Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during peak periods, special events, and/or service disruptions, and support orderly movement through entrances and common areas.
- Perform inspections for unsecured doors, damaged property, suspicious items, and other unusual conditions, and report findings through the chain of command.
- Operate radios and other communications equipment to coordinate with site personnel, transit operations, and/or emergency responders.
- Support enforcement of site rules, including addressing loitering, trespassing, prohibited items, and disorderly conduct in accordance with post orders.
- Participate in drills, briefings, and required training, and maintain readiness for assigned duties while on post.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1+ years of armed security-related and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
