As a Security Officer - Armed Vault Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and concerns with calm, professional communication. You will deliver strong customer service while supporting a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Maintain an armed, professional presence in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or licensing requirements.
• Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, drive-through lanes, and perimeter points. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry into restricted areas, verifying authorization and directing visitors to appropriate check-in processes.
• Observe for unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, tampered equipment, loitering, and/or potential hazards, and promptly report findings through established communication channels.
• Operate required equipment such as radios, phones, and/or CCTV systems when available, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports including incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift activity summaries, maintaining accurate documentation for security-related events.
• Support closing and opening procedures as assigned, including checks of doors, alarm status, and/or restricted areas per post orders.
• Assist with queue management and de-escalation of customer concerns when needed, coordinating with management and/or local law enforcement when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years’ combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
