As a Security Officer Armed Security Clearance in CAMDEN, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols and inspections, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, incidents, and requests for assistance. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an aero and defense location.
- Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and post orders.
- Control access to buildings, production areas, and restricted spaces through credential verification, visitor processing, and adherence to access authorization requirements.
- Conduct vehicle and pedestrian screening as directed, including verifying deliveries, inspecting packages, and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter prohibited items and unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from law enforcement and/or site leadership when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, perimeters, and critical infrastructure locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other security-related systems, and report unusual activity in a timely manner.
- Maintain a visible presence at key posts to help to deter unauthorized activity, theft, and/or damage to property.
- Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs using required reporting systems and formats.
- Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical response coordination, and shelter-in-place actions as directed by post orders and/or site leadership.
- Enforce site rules regarding prohibited items, photography restrictions, and controlled areas, escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
- Interact professionally with employees and visitors, providing directions and assistance while maintaining post requirements and confidentiality expectations.
- Perform key control, badge accountability, and other assigned administrative tasks in accordance with post orders.
- Participate in required training, briefings, and weapons qualification activities to maintain readiness for armed post responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
