Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Unarmed in CHERRY HILL, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication, supporting a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Assist in helping to deter incidents by conducting regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as directed by site policies.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and visitors to promote a secure environment within the healthcare location.
  • Complete daily activity reports and/or incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
