As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Transportation in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a bustling transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the parking garage and surrounding transportation location to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff by maintaining a visible presence and assisting with security-related inquiries or requests.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
