Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrols in Hookerton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This armed and driving role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed in the event of an incident.
  • Maintain a visible security-related presence to help to deter unwanted behavior within the government facility.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of all incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Allied Universal and the client site, including those related to the use of firearms and other security-related equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Six months or more of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
