As a Security Officer - School Security Patrol in Penns Grove, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the education location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the area. You will conduct routine patrols, support a secure environment for students and staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an educational environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting students, staff, and visitors as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
• Support access control procedures by verifying identification and assisting with visitor management as required.
• Document and communicate any incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with school administration and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and foster positive interactions with the school community.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
