As a Security Officer - Flex Part Time in Flat Rock, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond promptly to situations, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving post. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related objectives of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor the location for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and observing entry and exit points as required by site protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities through detailed written reports as directed by Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including coordinating with local authorities and providing guidance to occupants as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
