Job Description

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Office in Plymouth MA

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8 AM - 6 PM

Starting Pay is $23.79 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training 

Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience


As a Security Officer in Plymouth, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence and professional communication will support a secure environment. This role requires you to carry a concealed weapon as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support site policies.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of the surroundings.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence while interacting with the public, employees, and visitors at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
