What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns, reporting findings according to established protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, employees and/or members of the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding site guidelines.
  • Assist with access control, verifying credentials and helping to maintain order during entry and exit at the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance needs as directed by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required, following all Allied Universal and site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
