Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Transit Patrols in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll monitor and patrol government locations to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to those on site.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activities according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed, following all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform access control duties and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal and client-specific policies, procedures, and training requirements, including those related to armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
