Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Office in Greenfield MA

Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 6 PM

Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training 

Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Greenfield, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a secure environment, and you will interact regularly with staff and visitors. This role requires a concealed carry weapons permit and reflects our commitment to reliability, teamwork, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or security-related concerns according to established protocols.
  • Work in collaboration with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during critical incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities as required by the post assignment.
  • Remain alert and observant to help to deter potential threats and support a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
