As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol Shift in Penns Grove, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while fostering positive interactions through outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the education location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the education facility.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or rule violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
• Communicate and collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns and/or incidents.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner as required by Allied Universal and the education location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
