As a Security Guard - Flex Part Time in Flat Rock, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. You will interact with employees and visitors, deliver outstanding customer service, and support access control processes. This is a driving position. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the tech, media, or telecom location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by providing information or guidance related to security-related protocols at the location.
  • Document incidents and complete required reports in accordance with Allied Universal standards and client expectations.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts as directed by site policies and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
