Job Description


As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout the facility, assist with access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter areas.
  • Observe for and report any unusual activities, potential hazards, or unauthorized individuals within the location.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports for review by Allied Universal and client management.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and first responders during emergency response activities.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity and/or criminal behavior through visible presence and patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
