Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Campus Patrol in Eden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at this education location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication while maintaining a professional presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity in and around the location, reporting any suspicious behavior or potential security-related concerns.
  • Assist with emergency response activities and follow established protocols for incidents specific to educational settings.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with other staff, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or drills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
