As a Security Officer - Utilities Entry Attendant in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control role at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct security-related patrols to help to deter incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the location, checking credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents or unusual occurrences according to company procedures.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as necessary during emergency situations.
• Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
