As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Complex in Hialeah, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you'll actively monitor and patrol government locations to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. As this is an armed and driving post, you'll remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and interact with the public to provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while upholding security-related standards.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required by site protocols.
  • Remain alert to security-related concerns specific to government locations and respond according to established procedures.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines, always prioritizing responsible handling and compliance with regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A corrections officer license is required.
  • A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate’s degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
