Job Description


As a Security Officer - Lobby Security Specialist in Lincoln, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prestigious commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants, maintaining a welcoming presence while managing access control and monitoring security-related systems. You will help to deter incidents by observing activity and providing exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first in a dynamic and professional environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and managing visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with building tenants, guests, and staff, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings at the front desk area and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including following evacuation and/or lockdown procedures relevant to the location.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed reports for Allied Universal management and client review.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
