Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk CRE in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will also provide outstanding customer service, assist visitors, and communicate clearly with building occupants, reflecting our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Assist with access control procedures at the location by verifying credentials and managing entry and exit points.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, in accordance with site guidelines and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
