As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols of the campus to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This role involves both armed and driving responsibilities, allowing you to play a key part in maintaining a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to all individuals on the location.
  • Perform regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist students, staff, and visitors with security-related concerns and inquiries.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials of individuals entering designated areas.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and/or drills.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to remain current on security-related procedures and emergency response protocols specific to educational environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
