Job Description


As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operations in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting access control and badge processes. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and coordinate communication between personnel, visitors, and emergency responders at the location using dispatch systems.
  • Receive and document all incoming calls and requests for assistance, prioritizing responses according to site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, activities, and communications in dispatch logs and reports.
  • Assist in the coordination of emergency response activities as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Support field personnel by relaying information and dispatching resources as needed for security-related incidents or routine operations.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities by maintaining awareness of site operations and reporting irregularities.
  • Provide customer service by responding professionally and promptly to inquiries and requests from employees and visitors at the location.
  • Follow all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to the chemical and petrochemical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
