Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Facility Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your presence will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere through exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity and reporting as necessary.
  • Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and/or criminal activity through visible presence and thorough patrols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of assigned firearms and adhere to all applicable regulations and Allied Universal standards for armed personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
