Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Clinic Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to individuals at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as required during emergency situations or incidents.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs or reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
