Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Alarm Panel Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and routine patrols. You will interact with tenants and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any suspicious circumstances.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences observed during patrols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials of individuals entering the location.
  • Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and visitors to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to support security-related operations and uphold site-specific standards for the commercial real estate location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
