What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location, including the building and perimeter areas.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, incidents, or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel and Allied Universal management.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a courteous manner while verifying credentials as required by site protocols.
  • Assist local law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies on site.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities in accordance with site and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
