Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Bank in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a financial institution location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will build positive relationships through excellent communication and customer service, while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support the security-related needs of the location.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
  • Support access control protocols by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific security-related procedures and participate in ongoing training as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
