As a Security Officer - Armed Flex Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This is a driving and armed post, requiring active patrolling throughout the premises. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and embody our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Provide customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and/or contractors at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points, check credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the food and beverage production environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or potential threats to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary in accordance with site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
