Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Goldsboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service through strong communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting and documenting incidents according to Allied Universal procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or prohibited actions within the location.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
