As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service help foster a secure environment for all. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas by vehicle and/or on foot, while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and reliability.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor for and report any unusual or suspicious activity within the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and helping to direct visitors and employees as appropriate.
  • Document all incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and emergency responders during incidents or drills.
  • Remain alert to potential risks unique to chemical and petrochemical locations, reporting concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
