As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Retail in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you conduct routine patrols and respond promptly to incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with the public, and contribute to a positive environment that reflects our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or other unwanted behavior.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or customers, addressing questions and providing assistance as required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or routine activities during assigned shifts.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures, including those related to carrying and handling firearms as an armed patrol officer.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification Texas only.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
