Job Description


As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Pennington, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Your presence and professional communication will support a positive atmosphere, while you provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving position, offering the opportunity to interact with a diverse team and contribute to a culture built on integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards within the location to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all patrols, incidents, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Interact professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors to provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts and participate in drills or training sessions as directed by site management and Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience lifting more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
