Job Description


As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrols in Hopewell Junction, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $18.62 - $19.62 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific policies and procedures, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and any security-related issues according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and/or deliveries as required by site procedures.
  • Work closely with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being at least 21 years of age is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
