Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Government Facility Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents at a government location. This post requires both driving and carrying a firearm. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly, all while upholding our team's values of agility, reliability, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or the public while upholding site-specific protocols and Allied Universal standards.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or issues that arise during the shift according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, especially while on patrol, to help to deter and respond to any potential security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as requested by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
