As a Security Officer -- Armed  Healthcare Site in Yonkers, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and engage with visitors and staff to provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe and report any unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to support emergency response and incident resolution.
  • Operate assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security-related procedures, emergency response, and healthcare facility protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
