Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site Specialist in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will remain visible to help create a secure environment, respond promptly to incidents, and uphold our values of reliability, agility, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and resources provided by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any concerns in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance to staff, visitors, and/or the public as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and actions taken during the course of duty in clear and accurate reports.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required by site protocols.
  • Adhere to all regulations and policies related to carrying and handling firearms, in accordance with company and legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
