As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Lead in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to incidents as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, log activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and local authorities as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities and/or drills according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Perform searches and inspections as required by site-specific procedures, while maintaining professionalism and respect for individuals.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders during incidents or as directed by site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
