Job Description


As a Security Switchboard Officer in Savannah, Ga. in an aerospace and defense location, you are crucial for operational efficiency by managing maintenance requests and ensuring timely repairs. Your responsibilities include receiving and processing work order requests. You will create work orders and send work orders to the appropriate service groups. The Switchboard Operator  interacts with customers via phone and email and reports all safety and security concerns received immediately to the Global Security Control Center. This position requires technological proficiency, excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and attention to detail. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and coordinate communications for security-related activities within the aerospace and defense location.
  • Receive and dispatch information to appropriate personnel during routine operations and emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all incoming and outgoing communications and activities.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related inquiries and access procedures.
  • Support security-related operations by relaying information between field personnel and management as needed.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized activities and support site-specific policies.
  • Remain alert to security-related concerns within the location and promptly communicate any unusual or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
