Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Monitor in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with tenants and visitors, deliver exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location's operations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious activity within the location.
  • Communicate with property management and Allied Universal as needed to report incidents and/or request assistance.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
