As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Institution - Full Time in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help deter security-related incidents, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service. This armed position requires a Level III Armed Certification and offers the opportunity to interact with the public while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and appropriate escalation procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft and/or unauthorized activity.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of incidents, observations, and any unusual activities encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with store staff and/or management as needed to address security-related concerns and support a positive experience for customers and employees.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related risks or hazards within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
