What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas while carrying out armed security-related duties in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or unusual circumstances encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established procedures for government settings.
  • Remain alert and attentive at all times, prepared to respond to situations that may require an armed presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must have a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
